Exclusive accommodation on the Florence hills
The lovers of equestrian sports, of golf and tennis will easily practice these sports because very close to Villa Sestini B&B there are: the Florentine riding-school, a golf club and various tennis courts.
Last but not least, for the lovers of open air walks, the beautiful Vernalese wood is located close to the B&B. Unforgettable also the breakfasts with a basis of cakes and jams directly prepared by Giovanna (the owner) with the fruits of her fields...
Villa Sestini History
In the beginning... this was only a modest country house with annexed farm (podere), known as "Il poderino" or "La Torre" ("The Tower"). In the 15th century it was property of the Pagnini family, then it passed to the Pini family and to the Schernini family. In 1640 the Neroni family bought the house (and owned it for centuries) and transformed into the Villa with the proportions that we can admire today.
The Garden
In the Italian-style garden (Giardino all'Italiana) of Villa Sestini you can enjoy the wonderful view of the whole city of Florence with the surrounding hills. The garden is the perfect place to relax, drinking a coffe, reading a book under the shadow of the cypress or olive trees or simply tanning in the sun... On request the breakfasts can be served in the garden, under the pergola.
The Interiors
Villa Sestini welcomes the guests in beautiful rooms with a magnificent view over Florence and over the green Tuscan hills. Both bedrooms are very comfortable and are furnished with lovely antique furnitures. One, particularly spacious has two single beds (with the possibility to add a third one); the other room, smaller (but spacious as well) has a queen size bed.The two living rooms are at the guests' disposal. The Italian style breakfast is composed of tea, coffee, milk, yogurt, butter, rolls, Tuscan bread, biscuits and jams and cakes, all home made (!) by Giovanna, the owner of the Villa.
